JReport 10.1 - What's New?

JReport 10

JReport 10.1 for Advanced Data Visualization

Jinfonet Software, the leading provider of java reporting tools, today announced JReport 10.1, which greatly improves data visualization and interaction for web-based reporting across the enterprise.  With JReport, end users can visualize their business intelligence data with a high performance reporting server and new powerful, easy-to-use visualization features.

"JReport 10.1 brings cutting edge visualization to the reporting industry," said Dr. Bing Yao, President of Jinfonet Software. "Since its founding in 1998, Jinfonet has continually challenged the state of the art for business intelligence data visualization with web-based java reporting."

JReport 10.1's advanced visualization features are richer and more robust, providing actionable information for end users across the enterprise with support for over 40 chart types that zoom, scroll and filter.  End users can intuitively interact with corporate data by instantly changing chart types and styles.  JReport supports fast and easy ad hoc reporting for immediate data interaction, enabling end users to make informed decisions with direct information delivery.

As part of its new visualization rollout, JReport 10.1 presents JDashboard, the new dashboard with a mashup of easy-to-use components that allows end users to easily build custom dashboard according to their needs.   JDashboard enables end users to drill into and fully interact with their data.

JReport 10.1 now supports both AJAX and Flash components, allowing developers the option to deploy in either format to provide end users more options to interact with the on-page reports.  The AJAX support allows equally high functionality and reporting ability to extend to all platforms that do not presently support Flash.

In addition to rich visualization, JReport 10.1 continues to enhance performance and scalability with a new fully distributed cluster server. The new architecture will be able to tolerate configurable N-simultaneous failures. The system is highly scalable with the ability to dynamically add or repair nodes, allowing it to process any number of reports or support any number of users. A new data cache function permits reports to minimize data access and share information, thereby improving overall performance and report time.  In addition, JReport 10.1 can fully support the cloud environment.  Recent testing in Amazon shows that JReport supports cloud reporting with high performance and linear scalability.
