What is JReport Enterprise Server?
The JReport Enterprise Server provides a robust platform for meeting sophisticated enterprise reporting demands. It is flexible enough to be deployed on any Web application server or as a stand-alone server.
JReport's 100% J2EE architecture allows for seamless integration into any enterprise environment and takes advantage of unified standards and modular components, including support for Java Servlets, Java Server Pages, Enterprise Java Beans, andXML technology. It supports any data source, including user-defined data sources, and is uniquely capable of preserving and automatically generating reports based on - the data structure inherent in hierarchical data sources.
At the heart of the JReport Enterprise Server is a high performance engine that can handle any workload demand and easily scales from small deployments to large multi-CPU and clustered server environments. JReport's Enterprise Server cluster option offers high avai lability, load balancing, scalability and manageability maximizing system performance while ensuring uninterrupted access to your critical business information. Additionally, JReport Enterprise Sever supports remote administration, enabling server configuration and management from any Web browser.
The JReport Enterprise Server API (Application Programming Interface) provides you with an easy-to-use interface for resource management, task scheduling, version control, caching, connection pooling and security. Record/page/row level security enables you to authorize end-user access to personalized information from a shared report, minimizing the overhead necessary to create and manage separate reports. Reports created using the JReport Designer are deployed to the JReport Enterprise Server.
